USDV has successfully managed seven investment vehicles focused on distressed non-performing loans, performing loans and REO’s. Our 8th investment vehicle, United Bridge Capital, LP, originates and purchases short-term bridge loans on residential investment properties. Our ability to effectively manage NPL’s and REO’s nationally is a competitive advantage compared to many other lenders.

Our strategy is clear- we intend to maximize returns by pursuing the best risk-adjusted work-out strategy on a loan by loan basis on behalf of our investors.  We have a growing number of sophisticated tools, third party data sources, and internal feedback loops that aid in our strategy optimization and execution efforts.

More broadly, we believe attractive returns are possible because mortgage loans can be purchased for much less than the underlying collateral.  This discount to value not only cushions against carrying costs but it also provides protection against potential valuation losses.The fact that the cost basis is so attractive results in the evidence of downside protection and opportunity for significant upside.

USDV capital is actively managing distressed residential non-performing and performing mortgages in the United States. In most cases we are investing in mortgages where the borrower has stopped making mortgage payments due to lack of funds or to take a strategic default stemming from a lack of equity. We are able to buy these mortgages at a deep discount on the unpaid balances on the loans and also below the current property values.

Our unparalleled understanding of all factors that influence profitability has led to the development of an advanced proprietary technology that provides us with a valuable platform to mine data that can be used to identify, price, bid and manage our acquisitions.

USDV capital has fostered close relationships with some of the nation’s top distressed asset sources including national, regional and community banks.  Acquisitions are made from nearly all of the major U.S financial institutions, as well as many loan servicers and various other owners of distressed debt and REO portfolios.  USDV’s own in-house distressed asset sourcing team has proved to have access to the most attractive deals in the market.

USDV capital utilizes propriety in-house analytics and sophisticated management tools to fuel its growth through disciplined, quality portfolio acquisitions of distressed, whole loan and REO properties.  Through successful past investment experience, we know how to identify, price, bid and manage non-performing and performing note pools as well as distressed real estate assets.  Upon acquisition, USDV plans and executes a customized exit strategy for each asset so as to maximize profitability and return of capital with ROI as soon as possible.

Loans are considered non-performing once the borrower has stopped making payments for 90+ days.  A ‘distressed’ asset is not necessarily a poor-quality asset
